Why should I use Go Green RTK signal?
What is Go Green and how did it start?
Go Green is a result of multiple John Deere dealers working together to create a SEAMLESS, RTK network that customers can utilize and not be limited a smaller number of RTK base stations that may not be located where they need them. This network allows dealers share RTK base stations which saves dealers time and reduces a dealer’s investment to provide customers the StarFire RTK signal. Many participating dealers have worked alongside each other to locate base stations so that the RTK network coverage is maximized.

What do I have to do when I change base stations?
Changing to another bases station is very easy, just change the network ID and network channel and then re-configure the RTK radio and done.

No Go Green RTK is specific to the John Deere StarFire receivers

What is RTK?

RTK provides highly accurate corrections to the AutoTrac
TM
guidance system. It utilizes a local, ground-based reference station that transmits the high-accuracy corrections to a vehicle StarFire receiver via RTK radios. Because of the proximity of the base station to the vehicle, nearly all GPS drift is eliminated, and the position is highly repeatable. In order for the base station signal to reach the vehicle, a direct line-of-sight is required.

Why should I use Go Green RTK signal?
John Deere’s Ag. Management Systems products are very versatile. These precision agriculture products are capable of being transferred from machine to machine which helps spread your investment across all seasons of your operation. Go green’s signal is backed by a very large support staff. At any given point in our network you are covered by more than one RTK base station because our bases overlap each other. This allows for a back up signal source that way if something were to go wrong with a base station you will not be left sitting in the field.
